Air Niugini Limited is the national airline of the Papua New Guinea, which located at the Air Niugini House of the Jacksons International Airport, Port Moresby. It flies to 29 destinations. It provides the domestic services to Lae while its international services are limited to Oceania, Asia, and Australia. It was founded in the year 1973.
To avoid the hassle at the airport, a passenger must be aware of the baggage policy of the airline as the baggage is the necessity if a person is traveling. So here is the basic information related to the baggage of the Air Niugini.
Carry-On Baggage/Hand Baggage

- Weight – 14Kg (1 piece for economic while 2 pieces for business class)

Infant Passenger Baggage Allowance:
- Infants are entitled to 10kg of baggage allowance.
- They allowed 1 piece of baggage with the dimension not more than 115cm.
As for the extra fare for the excess baggage, if the baggage of the passenger weights more than the free baggage allowance the airline staff will take them to the extra baggage counter. The fare may vary according to the weight and the destination of the passenger.
Special baggage includes the sports equipment. The passengers traveling in the Air Niugini can carry sports equipment. A passenger can check 10kg sports equipment or 15kg scuba diving equipment as a part of their baggage allowance.
Pets are only allowed in the checked-in baggage. Their weight of the pet along with the carriage is taken. The passengers can also cargo their pets. The only pets which are allowed in the cabin are the pets which serve as the guide dogs to the disabled passengers. They come under free baggage allowance.

In case of any damaged or delayed baggage, a passenger can contact the airline authority. For the loss or delay of baggage, a passenger has to write a claim to the authority. After processing they will ask to wait for few days till they track if they are unable to locate your baggage within 21 days of your scheduled arrival. They will reimburse you. But for the case of damaged baggage, the passenger will have to immediately contact the airline baggage service and write a claim within 7 days of the scheduled arrivals. They will then look into the matter accordingly.
