Air Do was previously known as Hokkaido International Airlines, which is a regional airline operating scheduled flights between Honshu and Hokkaid? islands in cooperation with All Nippon Airways.

Baggage is an essential aspect of a trip. Without proper baggage planning, you’ll end up messing up the whole trip. Clueless eh? The following baggage information will help you with the baggage policy of our airlines and will let you know what you can do prior to flight:

Infant Passenger Baggage Allowance:

  • Each adult may carry one infant on his or her lap (for free).
  • Each adult may bring up to 2 infants. 1 of the infants will have to sit on the adult's lap, and the  will have a seat.

Charges

  • For 1-10Kg, JPY 2,500
  • For 11-20Kg, JPY 3,500
  • For 21-30Kg, JPY 4,500
  • Further increments of 10 kg- +JPY 1,000

Special baggage

  • An instrument case with Dimensions 115 cm may be brought aboard.
  • Bring your instrument to the baggage kiosk and check it there if you wish to check-in.

Travelling pet

  • Pets allowed as cargo: dogs, cats, small birds, squirrels, hamsters, etc.
  • Up to about 3 goldfish, turtles, rhinoceros beetles, stag beetles, etc. put into a small container so as not disturb other passengers
  • Pet Policy: Pet fee of JPY 6,000 (tax included) per pet cage's storage space.

Damage

There might be recompense for damaged or lost item.

  • Explosives
  • Balloons inflated with helium gas
  • Fireworks
  • Heatable boxed meals (with self heating packs)
  • Easily combustible or flammable objects (lighter gas oil and camping stoves)
  • Corrosive agents
  • Items with a risk of endangering the aircraft, its passengers or cargo
