There is no free baggage allowance for checked bags.
- Baggage Allowance: 47 lb/20 kg
- Maximum Dimensions: 62 linear inches/158 cm
Infant Passenger Baggage Allowance:
Infants are not given any free baggage-allowance, since they are not allocated seats. However, we permit baby buggies/strollers/prams, etc. to be carried free of cost.
Baggage Charge for International:
- 20kg, 25kg, 30kg and 40kg
Baggage Charge for Regional/Domestic Flights:
- 15kg, 20kg, 25kg, 30kg and 40kg
Excess Baggage Charges:
The rate is dependant on the airport from which you fly.
Special Charges are incurred if you’re carrying Special Baggage. Following are the different Special Baggage accepted by the airline:
- Weight – 23kg
- Example: surfboards, bicycles, skis/snowboards, cricket equipment, and diving gear,
- 75kg (Dimensions: H 103cm x W 41cm x D 41cm)
- We do not allow pets on board our flights. This also includes guide/assistance dogs.
Air Asia does not permit pets on board

If your luggage is damaged and you find it thus at arrival, speak to a member of the staff at the information desk as soon you arrive at the airport. You can also contact us by calling us.
These items are permitted but need documentations and fall under restricted category:
- hockey and lacrosse sticks, paddles etc
- rifles and shotguns etc
- ice skates, knives etc.
