KLM Airlines Reservations

Profiling KLM Airlines as the most experienced airline is not so bad a joke. It is the oldest airline in the world which has upheld its original name and having been in existence for nearly a century now, why not call it the most experienced?

KLM Airlines Flights History

KLM was set up on 7th October 1919 primarily through the efforts of Albert Plesman. KLM Airlines is a Dutch abbreviation for Royal Aviation Company; the Royal status was granted to the airline by Queen Wilhelmina just a month before the new company begun operations. The airline has operated several types of aircraft and has seen all major revolutions in the aviation industry. In May of 2004, KLM Airlines and Air France completed the deal on their merger; both airlines retained their brands but became subsidiaries of a holding company which was christened Air France-KLM Airlines. Currently, the airline has its hub at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol and headquarters at Amstelveen.

Just like Air France, KLM Airlines has a new seat in World Business Class which is fully flat and has an improved entertainment system. Passengers in Economy Comfort and Economy classes basically have the same kind of services save for the fact that seating in Economy Comfort is just as the name sounds. The Europe business class is designed for short haul flights and for this reason, it does not have a personal entertainment system.

KLM Airlines Flights Entertainment

In-flight entertainment on KLM Airlines flights is powered by Audio/Video on Demand (AVOD). It is installed in all class cabins on wide-body aircraft. Note that there is no personal entertainment in Europe business class which is a short-haul product. AVOD provides access to TV programs, movies, video games and language courses. It also allows passengers to send text messages and email to the ground. As a supplementary entertainment tool, the airline offers an assortment of magazines on long-haul flights. In-flight Internet connectivity is gradually being implemented and will soon be on all of KLM’s Airlines flights.

KLM Airlines Flights Baggage Allowance
